Soil and Water Resources Engineering involves the management of soil and water resources and water quality.
 
 
 
Our students learn to:
  • Design systems to control soil erosion and flooding.
  • Develop irrigation systems.
  • Serve as engineering consultants on crop nutrient management.
  • Design ways to handle stormwater and control the movement of sediment into lakes.
  • Understand the relationships between land use and water quality and the role of natural ecosystms in modern agriculture.
